Policies
WizKids
currently has an extensive Approved Play Comprehensive Rules
document on their site. Please read section 5 of this document
carefully. All disciplining decisions made by WizKids Envoys
come from this section. If you come unprepared to a tournament,
we reserve the right to ask you to leave, if you cannot be
provided with the means to play, by a fellow player. The Envoy
and/or the store is not expected to provide you with something
you may have forgotten like a map or tokens.
House Rules
As of September 1, 2002, WizKids
has officially encouraged Judges to run sanctioned tournaments
with house rules, so here are the house rules we choose
to
run by.
- Galactus/Spectre: These figures cannot be used in any tournament unless otherwise specified by the tournament description. -
SentinelofLiberty
- Giant adjacency during movement: When a Giant figure moves, it's adjacency to any non-Giant figure is treated like any other standard figure. This means they would only become adjacent to a character 2 squares away if it were another Giant. -

- Alternate Team Abilities [Feats]: Alternate Team Abilities are special feat cards that actually overwrite the text on the PAC changing the listed team ability for that team, to the team ability listed on the card. As such, for the purposes of Wild Cards, Siphon Power, and Saboteur (and any similar card that may be added later) the Alternate Team Ability is copied. -

- Thunderbolts [Alternate Team Ability]: When this card is used to copy the text of another team ability, this card replaces any occurance of the name of the original team ability with the name Thunderbolts. In other words, when this card copies the Defenders team ability, any instance of the name Defenders would instead read Thunderbolts. This means that Thunderbolted Defenders could not share their defense with true Defenders. -

- Siphon Power [Feat]: Treat this card as an Alternate Team Ability, but instead of overwriting the team ability on the PAC, it actually overwrites the team symbol on the base, effectively make the figure Siphoning the Power part of that time. This means that they will be allowed to share the team ability with other Wild Cards on your force. However, it also means that they will not be able to be the target of any card that requires them to share a team symbol with their original team [during the use of the feat]. -

- Double-Based and Colossal movement: When moving a figure with a larger than standard base, one square must be chosen to count the move, and all other squares must fall within the legal range of movement. In the case of a Double-Based figure, the second half of the base should always follow the first, through each square of movement. In the case of a round Colossal base, the other 3 squares should keep the same orientation during the move. Once the move has ended, the player could rotate the round Colossal base to have the figure face a different direction, however, the base must still remain in the four squares that it ended it's move in. -

- Guardians of the Globe [Team Ability]: When a member of this team rolls doubles on a successful attack roll, deal damage normally. However, instead of generating knock back, a target with 0 or 1 action tokens also receives an action token, which can result in pushing damage. This means Quake will still do knock back, since it's knock back is generated from the power, not from rolling doubles. Otherwise, if the target would normally be knocked back by the attack, it is given a token instead. -
