Policies & House Rules

Policies

WizKids currently has an extensive Approved Play Comprehensive Rules document on their site. Please read section 5 of this document carefully. All disciplining decisions made by WizKids Envoys come from this section. If you come unprepared to a tournament, we reserve the right to ask you to leave, if you cannot be provided with the means to play, by a fellow player. The Envoy and/or the store is not expected to provide you with something you may have forgotten like a map or tokens.

House Rules

As of September 1, 2002, WizKids has officially encouraged Judges to run sanctioned tournaments with house rules, so here are the house rules we choose to run by.

  1. Colossal Multi-Dial figures: These figures cannot be used in any tournament unless otherwise specified by the tournament description. - SentinelofLiberty
  2. HeroClix Ages: We have 4 Ages at Legends that include ALL HEROCLIX LINES (except for Star Trek HeroClix: Tactics), instead of the 2 that WizKids have created. They are as follows:
    • Golden Age: All game elements are legal.
    • Silver Age: All figures, Objects, & Bystanders. No Feats, BFCs, or Event Dials.
    • Bronze Age: All game elements starting from the Legion of Superheroes starter are legal, including elements from past sets that have been reprinted.
    • Modern Age: See WizKids Players Guide, and include any current non-Marvel & DC lines.

  3. Keywords: Since WizKids does not have a means to update keywords on older figures, and since they have been slow to correct incorrectly granted keywords, we will be using the keywords as they are reflected on this site, under the Units and Checklist sections. Please check those sections when creating team to make sure that all the keywords match those that we are using. Note: Keywords in red are NOT being used. - snatreaper
  4. Frog Legs: Thor, Frog of Thunder & Venus may ALWAYS be played with the Frog Legs Feat even if the format is one that excludes Feats, because they should have the Swim Ability anyway. - snatreaper
